I wonder if a reason I hate promoting myself is i never had to--my dad, my biggest fan, was always there to cheer me on and congratulate me w/o me having to do anything but tell him what i did. And that was enough for me.

I was about to post a heartwarming story about a cat that had been missing for six months and suddenly turned up on Christmas morning, until I got to the end where they said he hadn't been straying as far this week. So they finally got their cat home... and let him right back outside. 😑
