Autumn turns Wintry, the leaves are flying, & amidst many difficult tasks I try to hold fast to the beauty that can always be found somewhere.

I loved wearing this Nicola Quilter skirt (bought new at Camden Market years ago) back when I was a Green Council/GE candidate.

Cleared some brambles, found a dried alium head, like a firework-flower. Or a caltrop-flower. Maybe I’ll grow more caltrops next year.

Random nice thing: clearing debris from the front drive I found seventeen tiny bare-root houseleeks that had fallen from the ‘nest’ at the fence post.
I don’t know if any of them will thrive but I had to give them a chance.

I hit on a combination that delights me: quartered strawberries, peeled chopped kiwi, chopped orange slices (sans peel) and *fresh redcurrants* we have them in the garden), with a bit of honey-water. Summer in a bowl.
