In other news. Winter is killing me. I had to lower my thermostat because my gas bill just arrived and it is almost $300. Yikes!! I have a brand new thermostat and boiler. So much for efficiency. So I changed the settings and it’s chilly in here. Utility companies have quite a racket.

I have previously donated to HRC. I received an invitation to a HRC dinner here in Philly. But the ticket is $250. How do working people afford events like this? I feel like they’re intended for the wealthy gays not working class ones trying to figure out how to live on one job. I wish I could go.😢

I can’t believe it’s been 39 years since that fateful day on a cold January. The loss of Space Shuttle Challenger and its crew. We will never forget you. 🕊️

This scene from DC Comics Kingdom Come is something I kinda get. Our hero J’onn J’onzz (Martian Manhunter) is broken. It makes wonder can we defeat our struggles or do we eventually succumb to them? I often ask myself this very question.

I just watched this documentary about Harvey Milk. I hadn’t seen it before. It really hit me not only about the loss of Harvey, but of those people who lost their lives to AIDS. Our 🏳️‍🌈 community has lost so much. And we aren’t the only ones. Hate in this country is the real pandemic. It has to stop.
This movie has been on my watchlist for awhile and hearing it mentioned in a podcast earlier this evening was my cue.

My cat Twinky always looks like he’s praying when he sleeps like this. So cute.

All genocide is evil. The Holocaust was horrendous beyond comprehension. And yes there have been other genocides, of course. We must never forget these facts, and we must stop what is happening right now in Gaza and in several countries where human rights abuses are now and what could happen here.

Someone should tell the Democrats that the midterm isn’t for 2 years. Why are they still sending out emails asking for money? I guess it’s business as usual for them. Seems a bit tone deaf on their part.

This move is one of the more disturbing ones. There is bird flu in several places now. No reporting from the agencies that inform the public about infectious diseases or other public health crises. Seriously WTF?

So far we have:
• Threatening allies with tariffs
• Threatening allies with invasion
• Rolling back decades of progress with Civil Rights
• Demanding loyalty to an individual over the Constitution
• Making veiled threats against predecessors.
• Ending funding for medical research

Since there’s much discussion about the Constitution lately, I figured it would be good to revisit this amazing museum and brush up on some important bits of American History. And pretend that I’m the President.

Stopped by to chat with Benjamin Franklin. Surely the good Dr Franklin would be mortified to see who’s currently occupying the White House. 🪁⚡️⚖️

My usual spot Signer’s Park is closed for renovations. Having a coffee and apple pie from Little Susie’s. Contemplating life and this country in front of Independence Hall.

The story of the Annunaki is fascinating to me. It raises so many questions. I think everything is connected somehow: religion, history, mysticism, etc. There’s untold and forgotten history that predates writing. Or is there? Could there be ancient knowledge lost to time but kept secrete by someone.

Weak and unqualified people are now in charge of this country. We are all in grave danger. This makes us extremely vulnerable. This guy running DoD will not serve the constitution and that will lead to devastation and unrivaled chaos. Be vigilant. Get to know your neighbors. Red Dawn is here.

I was just thinking to myself, the last time I felt like I was totally free without restrictions, was when I was a little boy. Only my parents told me no. Fast forward to now, a lifetime of being told what to do, where to go, what to think, do this, do that..

Comfort food helps with amped up anxiety. Tonight in the menu is Jambalaya. I use the Zatarains as my base and add sautéed shrimp, ham steak, andouille sausage, and some blackened chicken. Super easy to make and so delicious. L’aissez les bon temps roulent!!! ⚜️

I don’t see any way out of this. Burn it all down. America is cooked. The bad guys won and the people elected to stop them are kissing the ring. So, yeah, let it all burn down. The damage is done and there’s no going back.

@schumer.senate.gov Can you please lead the Democrats in the Senate and stop taking a knee before MAGA? We need you to fight for the American people and speak out against this president’s unconstitutional actions. Why are the Democrats making things easy for the GOP? Where is your spine?

Just following orders is a phrase not heard since WW2. I think we’re seeing a similar thing here with these ICE raids. The xenophobia and racism is off the charts and appalling. Damn it.
