When I first saw this illustration by @lartist.bsky.social, every fiber of my being wanted it to have shiny gold, so as soon as I found out I could I bought a print so I could make that happen for myself.

I have been working on this afghan for: a) probably days if I could figure out the actual total working hours or b) ages, when you consider I started it in 2015 and then let it sit in a box for 9 years. Just came back from another hiatus and it's *so close* to being finished...!

There was intense frustration over the fondue (it pays to read the instructions in advance, y'all!) but the end result was worth it.

My son's homework tonight is to make dinner. I think he should get extra credit for attempting baguettes as only his second ever bread recipe.

When I bought this original artwork by @davekellett.bsky.social, I didn't realize we were only months away from losing our girl. I'm extra glad now I grabbed it when I had the chance.
