These past weeks, my crew and I have been conducting data recovery on roughly 8 acres of land slated for development. The information we have uncovered will change the narrative related to the right flank of the Battle of Sackets Harbor.

In 1873 Dr. Franklin B. Hough saw the need to protect forests from overexploitation. He wrote a report "On the Duty of Governments in the Preservation of Forests” calling for forestry schools and laws to protect & regulate forests. He championed stewardship over dominance.

To correct an earlier post, 988 is being shut down for LGBTQ+ services. It will still exist for general suicide counseling. That said, I'd like to know how they're going to make that distinction over the phone.

As part of a study on a 19th century cemetery in northern New York, we surveyed census mortality records to find fully half of deaths from 1850-1870 were of children, half again of children under 2. The most common causes were infectious diseases now preventable. www.academia.edu/resource/wor...
