I love this painting.

The men with heads too heavy to hold up, those heads, I imagine, are on their way down to the earth to be planted, for something to grow from them that couldn't grow before.

I live in a city, in a state, where half of the population is Hispanic. When you see a white person, the odds are pretty good that they are mixed-white, with indigenous, Mexican, or hispanic living relatives or ancestors. What can/t we see? What can/t we feel?

Series: Two Right Hands

We each have a hand that is more giving and one that is more receiving; yet neither is more active.

The hand that gives must also receive; the hand that receives gives.

Reach out with whatever hands you have; if you’ve no hands, we feel them even more tenderly.

Hi, friends, known and unknown. This is a series of paintings I did after David Lynch died. His birthday, US inauguration day, MLK Jr. Day--if you knew this week, you might know these paintings. It's been almost five months.

Been absolutely devouring this book about Ukranian folklore creatures.

I know how hard its to find good non-fiction about slavic folklore in english so I 100% recommend this one even for just a small window into slavic folklore as a whole if you've been interested in it but unsure about sources.

This series, called, "These Are The Edges," is twelve portraits of people who have changed me. We think of people as people-shaped! Maybe you see someone you know.

Thoughts while working on this:

I ought to put my brain down, sometimes.

Life is barely a breath in cosmic time, yet we feel its force in our lungs.

Wake up and tend to your world.

I recently reposted a former congressional staffer who said that when an issue got 20-30 calls it would get representatives freaked out and ready to do something. It takes less than you’d think, because so few people actually take that kind of action

This painting is called
Gree! (Remember)

Thoughts I had while painting:

we are beautiful but we can't $ee it

Green green green green oh girl you are a sprout

I don't want babies to lose their mothers, I don't want to lose babies

Loss hurts infinitely because we've known it across lifetimes
