A Rensselaer County, NY referendum to increase library funding was counted incorrectly by voting machines. The hand recount passed easily by a vote of 540 to 279 while the machine vote count showed the measure being defeated 60 to 528.

A Rensselaer County, NY referendum to increase library funding was counted incorrectly by voting machines. The hand recount passed easily by a vote of 540 to 279 while the machine vote count showed the measure being defeated 60 to 528.

In the discovery part of our lawsuit against the #RocklandCounty Board of Elections we got documents showing that many of the voting machines did not seem to receive the legally required hashcheck tests. These test whether the correct software is on the machine.

It's easier to get the password to a voting machine, than to get into your own email account in some cases. No 2-factor authentication & password procedures are very poor.
