The MCU, imo, is consistently fine. It's comfort media at worst and thrilling at best.
But I think we are lying to ourselves when we say it's "fallen off"... because it's more that it hit a peak then went back to its prior state.

I decided to check out Batman & Robin: Year One by Mark waid and Chris Samnee, and I really enjoyed it. From the characterization of the dynamic duo to the dark yet colorful feel of Gotham, by the time I got to issue 2 I was hooked. It feels like a classic batman story but also new and refreshing
