Best way to get a bunch of riding in as a parent of a of young kids. Turns all the driving kids to and from daycare and everywhere else they need to be to something enjoyable.
Thanks to LA's notorious traffic, my ride is surprisingly time-effective. On a typical day it takes 50 min to drive from my house to my office. I can ride it in 65 min without pushing hard. So I get a bit more than 2hrs of riding a day with little time penalty—and a huge mental/financial upside.
