As long as they are a different type (clicky, tactile, linear) or a supposedly "silent" variant, it's fine :-). The number of options out there have gotten ridiculous.

Yep. New mechanical keyboard arrived today and I absolutely love it. 2 keys on my old one with Cherry MX Brown switches stopped working (not hot swappable unfortunately), but now that I see how much my new one reminds me of the good quality keyboards from the 90s I wish I'd upgraded sooner.

Yep. It's exactly what it's like. And the wrong answers that the advertising algorithms are getting by randomly throwing your basic demographics against something you've googled are getting more outrageous by the day. It really does feel like being followed by a "drunken harasser" like you say.

Most of us who can see this have always been the most tech savvy amongst our peers. They listened to us when they needed our help creating macros in Excel or doing just about any other technical task, but now that we are sounding the alarm about things that are shite they ignore us. It's ridiculous.

I have no idea what's happened. But rest assured when you are as committed as you are to protecting everyone's health, and people have an issue with you, you're in good company. Humans have always knocked the smartest and most visionary people.

Yup. It's often the people with their hearts and minds fully committed to the job and who genuinely care about patients who have the hardest time.

Yep. It really does. And when I Googled something the other day, the Google AI content that appeared first thought Queen Elizabeth II was still alive 🤦♀️. We are doomed to being surrounded by illiterate people with poor general knowledge.

I haven't been on here enough to know what you've been going through this year. But I can relate. It's been my quietest photography year too.

I personally hate how this era has dirtied the word data. Like data is no longer information to test a hypothesis and answer questions like what causes or treats an illness, but instead is used to describe a pile of trash used to exploit people and turn everyone stupid.
