got emissive sprites wired up and working! tried out making the player emissive and i think it's pretty neat (but too flickery). this has been so satisfying to build

i've been slowly learning to write shaders in #bevy and i'm working my way towards a 2D GI solution with radiance cascades. finally got my SDF calculation composited with the rest of the scene and it feels so goood!

recently made the decision to switch off Unity in favor of a custom engine, and i'm thrilled with how quickly i've been able to put together the bones of an editor. it's been so freeing to just do what i know i'll need

still need to fix a dozen sources of jank, need animations, etc, but i’m pretty happy with this first iteration of the world-space UI for charging/timing a swing.

added animations to the menu i built yesterday, and i'm quite pleased. up next is building out all these sub-menus and the animations between them!
