I always thought the joke of Cow Tools was pretty clear: the farmer is in that shed, shackled to the wall. The cow tools are designed to prolong the excruciations without shortening life or consciousness

I don't know who needs to see this, as the saying goes, but platform engineering is not just "devops" or "infra" by another name.

Platform engineering is about bringing a product sensibility and design ethos to the infra-shaped technical problem space.

Took my two-year old son to Dick’s for the first time. My wife showed how to dip a french fry in her strawberry shake.

He took a bite, thought for a moment, and then with a big grin says “happy BIRTHDAY!”

So that’s a memory I will have forever.

old great aunt prove her citizenship to vote in rural georgia, this definitely isn’t reminiscent of anything in the american past
🧵 There are a lot of misleading claims out there about the SAVE Act. Let me set the record straight: I voted for the SAVE Act for the simple reason that American elections are for Americans. Requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote is common sense.

“It’s not ephemeral, it’s just something that gets deleted after a couple of weeks”

Immediately followed by:
“It’s not permanent, it just has existed for five years and we have no plans to remove it ever.”
