It’s annoying because she acknowledged the spelling of my name when I registered with her. Because it’s not a typical spelling and that tripped her up. I emphasized it’s spelled exactly as presented on my ID. 😐
It’s very annoying to me that when I registered to vote in my new state last year, the lady typed in my first name wrong. I didn’t know that until I received my registration card in the mail.

The convo around grandparents reminds me: Our villages are flawed. Those raising children are given highest consideration—for good reason, don’t get me wrong.
But those no longer raising kids, folks who have no kids, people caregiving for adults—there aren’t as many people willing to be a resource

I remember looking around as a kid and realizing that I thought I was bad because I couldn’t maintain behaviors I didn’t even see the adults around me attempt. I felt foolish for crying or being anxious about impressing people I found less and less impressive all the time.

Ok but sometimes I really can’t see the menu well until I’m at the counter. (And I had LASIK!)

Relearning to ride a bike was a major step for me this last year and a half. A game-changer, really!
