In the 90s I put my late boyfriend's graffiti tag in two issues of Star Trek TOS for DC, plus lesbian moms and a condom on the bedside table in a storyline about Kirk and Carol Marcus.

True. The 80s looked really, really bad at the time. except for me, I looked great :)

I also vividly remember my gold-cover "Star Wars" paperback in 1977, when I was ten, and then "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" in 1978. I had such eidetic memory of the Luke/Leia stuff in Splinter that the sibling retcon of "Return of the Jedi" made me furious. I hated being told I "remembered wrong".

I think it was "Spock Must Die!", from 1970. I know that it was the first adult book I read it in a single night, because I had borrowed it and had to return it, and that I was eight years old.

Really struggling to connect with #disabilitypridemonth this year. The whole skill loss, late diagnosed, AuDHD burnout thing is crushing me. Plus the first year of not being able to work and no income whatsoever for the first time in my life. My dear one Geiler Scheiss took this photo in April.

Happy #internationalwhoresday2025! Honor the labor and sacrifice of 50 years of sex worker organizing and stand with sex workers. #decrimnow

May 12th is #MECFSAwarenessDay.
Wearing blue for the (now ended?) #GoBlueForME #GoBlueForMECFS campaign. So grateful to @geiler.scheiss for taking these beautiful pictures of me and for wheeling me down my street to the park. Please follow @berlin-buyers-club.bsky.social , @meactnet.bsky.social!

Would you lie down for me, for a couple hours, this Saturday? We need help desperately. @liegenddemo.bsky.social demo in Berlin demands treatment for ME sufferers in Germany. It's what it sounds like -lying down! With signs! Could you do it for me?

May is #mecfsawarenessmonth. @openmedf.bsky.social is a nonprofit leading the effort to find treatments and a cure for ME/CFS & Long COVID. Their #mecfsis awareness campaign with @lowenergylounge.bsky.social is showing some faces of ME - some of us who can safely afford to disclose our disability.

We went out!!! We went to a covid-aware, infection-aware gathering with respirators required, air cleaners and testing! It was so great to be in community with fellow disabled and chronically ill folks who acknowledge reality in a radical Berlin space. Check out my mask chain made by Berlin maker!

Today is March 3, #internationalsexworkersrightsday. In 2020 I did a Center the Most Marginalized: Protect Black Trans Sex Workers embroidery. It's an homage to the Pride flag redesign by Daniel Quasar; called the inclusive flag, it was created in 2018. #decrimnow

As a person who worked in Minnesota courtrooms in the 90s, I agree. Lighting and shading is VERY political. Jane Rosenberg is the most famous courtroom artist in the world, but I've always wondered about her politics. I could only do the work for a couple years; I was profoundly traumatized by it.

The soundtrack to the queer, sex-worker-positive punk movie "Times Square", in 1980 when I was 13. So much good music on this record!

I wasn't worried about it, even though it hurt ridiculously and absurdly for the skin area, but my dr was like "no that's shingles" and gave me meds. I am very privileged to have Valtrex stockpiled, so I had it on hand this time; it's in the same place but worse. I had Shingrix 2x in 2023.

It is my 58th birthday, fifth birthday in shielding/isolation, and I am grateful to still be around, and also consumed with grief for all that is lost, pitifully sad for my career which was always the core of my identity. So it goes.
