It makes me see the "maybe women just aren't good at science" bullshit in a whole new light, that's for sure. Basically, he's an academic pick-up artist, trying to neg women scholars into wanting to impress/sleep with him.

Upon reflection, that was a really bad way to describe Nexstar. It's a company that owns a lot of television stations, along with other kinds of media.

Why, yes, yes it is. I had thought this was generally known. It makes Politico look unbiased and dispassionate. It's owned by Nexstar, one of the two groups of tv station owners who tried to get Jimmy Kimmel thrown off the air.

I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that they felt the joke crossed a line of some sort, which I'd disagree with, but is an argument someone could make in good faith. This is just... wtf. Claiming that this was a threat of any kind is just bullshit.
