Heard yesterday about the role library staff in one community are playing in building community and preventing suicide. They really are about more than books. Took me back to the project I delivered to create a parent space in Parkhead library.

Just lost it with an old auntie of mine who posted this. Female bodies are not iPads. When we tell a girl to cover up, what are we teaching her?
Saying that a girls value and respect comes from what she wears dehumanises her. It excuses male abuse. It’s victim blaming. It’s wrong.

Hearing about Wave After Wave suicide bereavement training which I helped to develop when I worked in Glasgow being delivered in two Scottish universities. Seems like it’s being well received. Here’s hoping we see more delivery of this amazing FREE resource soon!

When you are asked to build in time for written reflective practice at work, but nobody realises the amount of time you already spend in your head unpicking and rerunning every social or professional action or interaction you have. It’s just so exhausting!!
