My photo of Durham cathedral from the train was awful and yet still recognisable (my sister's comment was "I know exactly where you are, but don't give up the day job".

The Ampellmänchen are fab - I have them as Christmas tree ornaments. I also like the kapa haka figures outside Te Papa in Wellington and Kate Sheppard outside parliament.

Can you point me to a source for that? It's available to certain immunocompromised groups but I didn't see previous shingles as a criterion - would be useful to know.

I was really pleased with tonight's supper - I only had a bunch of asparagus, but combined with a square of puff pastry from the freezer and a bit of cheese sauce it came out surprisingly well.
