We had Jewish, Catholic, Presbyterian, and Episcopalian volunteers present this morning along with those who don't practice a particular faith. Yet we all have faith in humamity and believe in human dignity. Goodness is stronger than evil.

Cruelty is the point, but I am always heartened by spending time talking with the family and friends coming to visit and the volunteers who support them. Today some volunteers brought their kids so they could play with the visiting children while they wait to see their parents.

The weather is turning cold and a storm is coming, but the families still have to wait outside on an active driveway, witnessing transport vans moving detainees in and out, possibly their own loved ones. We moved our tents closer to the driveway to provide some shelter from the pending rain.
