It felt wrong somehow to wish them Happy Thanksgiving. But they wished us Happy Thanksgiving as we passed out slices of pizza and plastic red cups filled with pasta, warm food to feed their bodies and help them stay warm.

So many stories. We cannot be silent. The detained loved ones of many of the visiting families I have met at Delaney Hall were following the immigration process, contributing the economy and living peaceful lives when they were essentially kidnapped by ICE agents.
