Ultimately, the reason Donald Trump never faced any consequences for January 6th wasn’t incompetence. It was inconvenience.

Everyone in Congress knew what happened that day. But no one with authority was willing to bear the costs of confronting it.

Someone Else's Problem
Ultimately, it just would have been too inconvenient to deal with the January 6th attack.

Like my 80s curriculum led by Holocaust survivors & WWII vets. It was extremely fun to dismantle government propaganda, sexist advertising, Goebbels-style “news.” Empowering, hubristic, & fun to imagine defying Hitler & Stalin.

To see hermeneutics as heroism is maybe the best thing a kid can learn
While we’re banning books…

Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar.

Dems: Every day, at 3pm, hold a Daily Truth Briefing
Just repeat it. Don't leave it to one opp leader, or talking heads on cable news. Own the podium, remind people of the objective truth. "No, this is not how taxes work. What he said was a lie." Especially when the WH stops their own daily briefings in favor of Trump's sprawling "news conferences"...

In response to the year end report from Chief Justice Roberts. He thinks the people shouldn't complain about the court's decisions. I think Roberts forgets from whence his authority comes.
When you choose the behavior, you also choose the consequences.

If the justices fear the people from whom their authority is derived, those justices better look at their OWN actions and change their behavior.

i honestly think it would be way more effective if dems just plainly said "elon musk has trump on a leash and they're both trying to screw you"
Jeffries: This reckless republican-driven shutdown can be avoided if House Republicans will simply do what is right for the American people and stick with the bipartisan agreement that they themselves negotiated.

@Republicansenatecaucuc stand up for what is right! Vote no on Gaetz!
WOW. NBC News is reporting that more than half of the Republican Senate caucus privately admits that the Gaetz nomination will not succeed.

Repost if you think they should make their concerns public.
