Thanks for pointing this out. Unfollowed for this. The only "abuse" I've ever seen is people lying about their out of control mongrel being a guide dog. Worked in unis (including an Ivy) for over a decade and the OP's concerns about colleges is BS with no evidence.

Nope. Totally a made-up problem with no backing. Plenty of dummies go to Ivies just b/c their parents are rich. (FWIW, I taughted and TA'd for years at an Ivy. Also taught at a 4 year and a community college. Lots of 1st hand evidence.)

It is *lunacy* for the ostensibly liberal opposition party to say we shouldn't limit any individual's wealth and power after watching a cadre of fascist billionaires systematically destroy this country. That's probably the single most important thing we *must* do!

OpenAI and Sam Altman can't keep your kid's chatbot from encouraging them into suicide, but apparently don't have as much of a problem keeping a chatbot from encouraging political assassination.

This! I was waiting for someone to mention it. Adopting a teenager when you're a man in your 20s? A well-off white man and his wife adopting a vulnerable black kid. We can all guess what was going on there.

Don't apologize. Screen shot the prediction and hold onto to it. There's no precedent for thinking ICE fascists will be held accountable (ahem, Reconstruction). Any grown-up can see the Vichy Dems would never do what any child can see is necessary for even a semblance of justice or accountability.

And IRRC, he spoke of his sisters as "tempting" him when they were naked in the bathtub. In that culture, boys and men are never charged with being accountable for their actions, having agency, etc.

Late to the convo, but they're not just Jewish-coded immigrants, they're very poor. I can't remember the details but there's examples of them being exploited and preyed upon, not just in their home country. The injustice of class society is v clear.
