The more I think about Wicked: For Good, the more I like it.
I think Deathly Hallows Part 2’s still my favorite of the series. Finally delivering on the payoffs, strong twists, and even improving things from the book, while being a huge spectacle to boot. Honestly, my only gripe is I wish it was longer. A two and half hour Battle of Hogwarts? Why not lol

If I was President, I’d fight JK Rowling for the rights to Harry Potter so she can’t profit off of it or use it for any of her transphobic shit. Then put the entire franchise on a thirty year hiatus before starting it up again with something new and fresh, far away from her style of storytelling.

There’s something about the Garbage Pail Kids Nostalgia Critic review that really works. The way Doug’s NC persona just feels so done and deflated, even his yelling is more subdued. More bitter. Adds to the humor.

Remember watching Duel years ago but never finished it. Old Spielberg chase movie with a psycho trucker chasing a random bystander. I think Joyride added on that with the leads being douchebags too.

I like No Place Like Home fine. Kinda average “fight back” song that’s elevated by Cynthia Erivo’s incredible singing, orchestra, and a really awesome bit at the end that I won’t spoil that adds a lot to the song and to Elphaba’s story overall.

Admittedly, when seeing the marketing for Wicked last year did give me that “Disney live action remake” vibe with how it was shot, but actually watching it makes it clear there’s actual love and thought put into it and they genuinely tried to improve on the stage show’s problems.
