Pals, we're having a tired one (month, year, existence etc). Miss knitting, miss walking, miss cooking and chatting and shopping and sleeping and having a busy day and travelling and catching up with people and things and doing housework and plans and the cinema and mooching about. Miss writing.

Actual lol at the suggestion Wes Streeting is capable of plotting. If this was an RPG he'd have a negative modifier on rolls for cunning.

He's Paddingon Bear if Paddington had spent years getting terfed by reading Mumsnet while the Browns were at work.

terrible news from the notebook mines: accidentally bought a blank notebook for work instead of a dotted one, and didn't realise until I'd opened it. How am I supposed to cope without dots or lines for the next year (tragique, tragique, whine whine whine)

Never underestimate the power of cracking open a cherry flavoured fizzy drink in the middle of a difficult working day. Today it’s a cherry Dr Pepper as they were out of my beloved cherry Coke Zero but we live our beautiful lives

This is a fascinating listen on how researchers uncover rural LGBT+ lives in the archive, and the difficulties in doing so compared to in urban histories:
🐏 New Absolute Units 🐏

Same-sex relationships have always been part of rural England, but they've been underrepresented in our collections.

In the first of 2 episodes, @timjerrome.bsky.social shares his work tracing queer rural lives in The MERL archives.

Added cherries to the rotation of frozen fruit that I add to my overnight oats, and all I can say is that this was an impeccable perfect incredible choice, well done me

No, I am not giving my wallet id to Bluesky so I continue not to be able to see my DMs, but now there is a tantalising unread count there, sorry if it’s you. Not ignoring you just can’t actually see them.

The idea of having to read books on my phone sucks and I personally can’t do it, but the drm free ones can be transferred to kobo, so we’re GETTING THERE

Proper autumnal chill in the air this morning, me shivering as I put the coffee machine on. Not entirely sure it called for me humming Rudolph the red nosed reindeer as I opened the curtains, but the brain does what it does

One day, nearly 2000 years ago, a cat dashed across some drying tiles, somewhere near Hadrian's Wall.

It's immortality of a kind, isn't it?
