I love the concept, you don’t realize it’s the squirrel’s perspective until the very end when the child and squirrel meet!

I’ve heard great things about Spark Books but haven’t checked them out yet, will have to get on that. Just visited the BFNR store again yesterday and it is full of so many lovely things!

On a side note, imagining possible cover art for my own middle grade book is a tool I used to motivate myself when writing my manuscript. I’m amazed by the work that illustrators do! I’m not published yet, so I’m going to keep dreaming of that book cover as I continue to query! 💕

A classic! I read that one from the library, so it’s sadly not on my shelf.

What age range is this for? I teach 4th grade at an all girls school and am interested in whether or not it could work as a read aloud novel.
