Victims of abuse don't need to be cured - they need to find a way to exist because of what has been done to them by the vulgar behaviours of others. I didn't put my hand up to be treated this way, no child does...it is paedophiles who make those decisions, they choose the child they want, their

I want change. It is no more simple than that. If I am recognised for this work, then I am proud - because that means someone is listening, and a child may well be better protected because of me. But beyond that I want change and an education in school that protects children.

Minimising and misunderstanding coercive control is leading to failures in protecting men, women and children from abuse.

Society needs to wake up and acknowledge that paedophiles are hidden in plain sight - and in EVERY corner of society! If everyone focused on this reality, and not just 'the few' in society, then children would be better protected from the wider realities of child sexual abuse. It ruins lives.
