Fresh off the bus, UW women’s soccer gets a heroes welcome outside of Husky Stadium.

Husky band is here while Football, Softball, women’s tennis, women’s basketball and others are here to show their support. Awesome stuff.

In 2005 when the Knicks fired Coach Wilkens, he came back to Seattle and we hired him as a studio analyst for our Sonics coverage. 🧵

Lenny Wilkens

My favorite player growing up, then somehow a friend later in life.

His foundation looked after kids who needed a little help.

Classy and kind and kept his Brooklyn accent.

3xHOF…coach of ‘79 Sonics title team.

A great and loving man.

did some digging, and the lowest win total in all of Karl's full seasons coaching the Sonics was 55 (which is nuts), but that meant lofty expectations, and there were 1st- and 2nd-round chokes

what's different with these Mariners is the choke would be completely contained within the series
if the Mariners blow the series, it won't be a Sonics-Nuggets level of choke, but it's absolutely going to be on the list of Seattle sports chokes

Just buried an old potato growing sprouts into the garbage can from 15 feet and said “Fred Brown”.

Hope everyone has a day this good.
