This is the point that they really fail to grasp about USAID the AID is almost secondary. It is designed to support US interests.

The short answer is because USAID buys a tremendous amount of rice, wheat and legumes from farmers to support anti-hunger initiatives abroad. About $2 billion worth per year.

I am begging the national media to start taking this seriously.
Stop buying the claims that the framing of "temporary" or "pause."

Stopping federal research and grant funding is meant to scare academics and scholars into MAGA submission. Plain and simple. So many of my colleagues rely on this funding for their livelihoods.

You know what else I can determine? Find a health care provider who wants to provide actual healthcare and not victim blame/shame.
As Rs gear up to cut healthcare, Sen. Marshall says, "Look, about 70% of your health outcomes are determined by you. It's determined by what you eat & what you're surrounded by. By the time you come to my office as a doctor, I can impact maybe 10 or 20% of your health outcomes"
