All of these people are a universe- they are all just as important to their family and friends as you are- but we treat their deaths as disposable

However the US Empire killed 2 million civilians in Korea, 2 million Vietnamese civilians, 500,000 Iraqi civilians, 50,000 civilians in Afghanistan. And all of those are very conservative estimates.

The way that we are taught to center not just US deaths but US *soldier* deaths is so gross and even other left leaning people do it
