I like peaceful things, cats, tea, also coffee. Playing cello, reading books, listening to podcasts while knitting. A caregiver, who is trained as a death doula, hair stylist and makeup artist with hEDS and MCAS. The basics as far as I recall.
The past months have been full & fast moving good…but then life has been tossing various chaos my way. Example of chaos… Pull a weed, cement breaks way, exposes wires where I’d planned to put water drainage for a raised bed garden. Grateful I wasn’t electrocuted but now I need a new garden plan.

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.

Cromolyn sodium all the day long. I’m really amazed how it has helped my mast cell disfunction. I nearly feel human again, which is amazing! In a flare now though and feel crappy. I think I’ve over done the yard work, but I love being out there. Must pace myself or the plants need to grow slower.

Work training online today while enjoying the peaceful quiet at home. The rain and birds in the background are so calming.

My brother took a super cute picture of the ladies. I can’t believe they have both managed to still fit in this bed.

Last night was so lovely. Getting out to see friends and hear music was a perfect way to end the week. Tea, knitting, and podcasts with my cats for now. Then prepping to work on the main bathroom a bit. Next week dentist and meeting a new therapist. Fingers crossed she’s a good fit.

it’s Fahrenheit 451 time babes. the most tangible way a normal person with no ‘heroic impulses’ can prevent *this* from happening again is to steward a few works of targeted art and literature. and don’t wait, do it while they’re still accessible!

Yesterday was quite stressful. More to do today, but much was sorted. Yesterday was a LOT from beginning to end. Then I slept. I created stories in my dreams again. They were really needed. I spent so much of my dream in the forrest running and exploring under a bright full moon. It was glorious. 🖤

I am happy for the most part though. Each day I learn new things and grow makes me grateful. I love my family and friends tremendously even if I don’t see them all as much as I would like. I’m also so fortunate to have these two in my life. 🖤

(I’m still looking for the right curtains btw)

A wonderful thing today. My youngest & I ran into my former PCP. She is among my favorite people. I haven’t seen her since she retired. It was so nice to chat with her again and for Nik to meet her as an adult. She last saw him as a newborn after my postnatal appointment. Time does indeed fly.

I’ve been doing the errands & purchasing of things I may need in the year this week. Updating phone etc..not stockpiling paper products. 😐 I’d like to have a base level of functioning set for now then not have to think about some of these things. Dr. appointments the next two days & PT. ..then rest?

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

I’ve been reading The Nordic Theory of Everything and really enjoying it. Also pictured is the yarn holder I’m about to test out to see if it keeps Lucy away while I knit.

Physical therapists (also called physiotherapists or PTs) can help people with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) in many ways, depending on the type of pain and other symptoms they have.

This week has been extra busy. Lots of good things personally. Still working hard to learn how to hold my body. It’s wild how much of a change it can make (in your entire existence) having even a small part of you replaced.

Also… hoping the bed sized foam wedge pillow finishes off gassing soon.

Five weeks post surgery; not able to play cello like I did yet. I’m working on strengthening muscles and playing for short periods of time. Also working on music theory a bit and going back to guitar a little. I’m enjoying it. 😊 Physical therapy starts next week!
