It's been a long week; I took a moment this afternoon to pause &enjoy this homemade cake+ coffee.
Switching gears to cook/ bake often clears my mind.
This cake is an easy peasy sponge with whatever was left in my pantry/ fridge. Recipe in thread.

Coffee’s medicinal qualities are rich&complex, not to mention its fascinating history.
It is vata-kapha balancing, benefits liver, digestion & cognitive health.
These days, I love my morning espresso blended with a bit of high-quality fat like cultured ghee.

How do you like your morning coffee?

Days #8,9&10 Spring Veg- Radish+radish greens (slow braised in ghee), Arugula &Kale.
Radish is 'pungent' & 'hot' per Ayurveda, so is Arugula. Radishes help fat metabolism, Arugula kindles digestive fire. Per Ayurvedic medicine both are kapha balancing, esp. on the kidneys& liver respectively.
