Wow! A tremendous 10,604 plant records submitted for @bsbibotany.bsky.social's #NewYearPlantHunt so far, well done all! The top 6 most frequently spotted to date are the same as 2024 results, however some changes thereafter such as Red Dead-nettle currently at 7th: nyph.bsbi.org/results.php?...

Herts Flora Group and BNA joined forces today to look at Gadebridge Park, Herts. Many expected species were found & some not.

Hedge Bedstraw (Galium album)
Sweet Alison (Lobularia maritima)
Common Whitlowgrass (Erophila verna)
Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris)

I did the @bsbibotany.bsky.social New Year Plant hunt - very wet underfoot on the heath, not many flowers, some interesting fungi, the cows on the heath weren’t impressed!
