Our local animal shelter lost everything in the devastating floods here in NJ last night. Water rose up rapidly.

When Lily & Dakoda were moved to a grassy pasture to graze, they took off running with joy and abandon! Lily came to us with #pemphigusfoliation, Dakoda with a kidney problem. Both #mares are living their best lives thanks to love, #bendequine, an incredible donor & @ucdavisvetmed.bsky.social

The sheer beauty of #wildhorses + three #burros standing in peace with the wind in their manes. The sun sets on their beautiful faces, as spring leaves begin to open on the Aspens. This is wild #nature at its finest. Protecting it gives me the strength to say, “On we go,” on #EarthDay and every day.

Pegasus, like all our #wildhorses, is getting used the hydraulic chute for care. Last year, he delivered a powerful kick as he made his exit. This year, he came out with record breaking speed. It’s the best way to handle wild animals while preserving their wildness.
