We’ve been fighting to get the bills the Republican House has been holding illegally. Thanks @UAW.org for standing with us!

UAW on stalled bills in Michigan legislature:

"The UAW won’t accept political games at the expense of working-class Michiganders. We expect these bills to move forward immediately – and for Governor Whitmer to sign them into law without delay."

Fun economic facts:
f you're age 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations.

If you're 45 years old, that number is 74.7%.

If you're under 30, the number is 100%.

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

You probably can guess that the Trump tax plan benefits the extremely rich at the expense of the rest of us, especially the poor. The Yale Budget Lab agrees: #EconSky s2.washingtonpost.com/camp-rw/?tra...

In the MI Senate Appropriations Commitee, we are reviewing the threats that schools & workforce programs are facing from the cuts and chaos coming from Trump/Republicans.

11% of Michigan's funding, $2.2B/year comes to support special education, kids in poverty, & food programs.

Good morning.

Republicans want to throw millions of people off Medicaid so they can give a new giant tax cut for billionaires and corporations.

Their plan: $1.1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid and food assistance to afford $1.1 trillion in tax giveaways for the richest 1%.

I’ve been fighting for these bills for several years now. Let’s make them law!

Michigan House Republicans are stalling bills that would protect workers’ wages, pensions, and healthcare. And Governor Whitmer hasn’t signed them because they’re stuck. The UAW is asking: which side are Lansing lawmakers on?

It’s time to demand action.

We fight on all fronts.

Republicans are trying to pass another resolution blaming the country’s problems on gay and transgender kids and drag shows.

To distract from measles outbreaks, rising costs, and the stock market crash.

I’m on the Senate floor now to stop it.

Trump isn’t cutting waste and abuse. He’s cutting programs that help regular people - like Medicaid - to fund tax cuts for billionaires and corporations. He only closes agencies that were stopping his rich friends bilk consumers.
