Women’s rights were not won by the violent actions taken by a few but by the concerted efforts by the many through non-violent protests over many years and the extensive role of women in WWI. The evidence is overwhelming that the violence set back progress with politicians entrenched in opposition

The Countryside Alliance never supported direct action and I spoke out against those that did in the same way as I do now as it is counter productive and just turns people against your cause. We saw that in spades with the recent climate disruptions with people getting super frustrated with protests

The SC judgement is an interpretation of the wording of a law enacted in 2010 to be precise. It states how certain aspects of the law should be interpreted by the courts in specific circumstances.

My view is these actions will just make things worse and harder to protect rights/get rights back for the trans community. They will also create more fear of trans people than there is at the moment making it more difficult to exist freely in society.

There are many things to do without restoring to criminal damage and intimidation which just causes harm on the trans community by allowing opponents to label everyone as violent thugs unworthy of rights when the majority are peaceful people who wish to live in harmony with others.

I’m reminded of the quote by Millicent Fawcett on political violence:

“I can never feel that setting fire to houses and churches and litter boxes and destroying valuable pictures really helps to convince people that women ought to be enfranchised.”

How can Bash Back demand better human rights by perpetrating criminal damage and intimidation? In my view it is causing harm to the transgender community and giving excuses for those who oppose the community to take rights away.

So it’s going to be an absolute mess but don’t blame us it’s the law you know! Except the EHRC wouldn’t know the laws if they hit them in the face. Let alone the HRA, the ECHR, the Council of Europe protocols, regulations and conventions or UN treaties all of which it is mandated to uphold.

It never had any intention to invade Ukraine right up to the night before it invaded Ukraine! Russia lies!
