#thameswater have a nerve. After paying out to shareholders for years they now want to avoid paying fines, putting up charges to users and are looking for investors/new owners, including overseas entities. Water, as a basic necessity, should not have overseas owners.

It's impressive yet unbearably upsetting to watch Zelenskyy hold himself up under extreme pressure against vile bullying and deliberate belittling. All in front of the world's media as he had to translate these exchanges internally before replying clearly in a second language, and staying calm.

I saw this in relation to #BishopBudde, who spoke so lovingly, and humbly, to #47 (and he spoke so hatefully about her in response). Imo it's a timely reminder of why fair-minded individuals should speak out.

Must thank @avantiwestcoast.bsky.social for the prompt refund after Saturday's delayed journey from Wolverhampton to Euston. Could it be because they have so much practice? BTW the train shop closed very early. Not that I could get to it. The train was so crowded.
