Wolverhampton born. London dweller for a long time. Football #wwfc (Wolves ay we), politics, primary school education are my main interests. And cricket. And knitting. And fashion/style. And music. And gardening. And most things.
What has happened to #PoliticsLive on #BBC? Today we have the "panel" discussing a comment from sent in by some random chap and then a pub landlord who is against digital ID cards and various other views. Is it trying to ape social media?

#thameswater have a nerve. After paying out to shareholders for years they now want to avoid paying fines, putting up charges to users and are looking for investors/new owners, including overseas entities. Water, as a basic necessity, should not have overseas owners.

All this talk from the European Leaders' Summit of TOGETHER reminded me of this youtu.be/XW2LoRqikWI?...

As it's by the Village People it should appeal to 47.

It's impressive yet unbearably upsetting to watch Zelenskyy hold himself up under extreme pressure against vile bullying and deliberate belittling. All in front of the world's media as he had to translate these exchanges internally before replying clearly in a second language, and staying calm.

I saw this in relation to #BishopBudde, who spoke so lovingly, and humbly, to #47 (and he spoke so hatefully about her in response). Imo it's a timely reminder of why fair-minded individuals should speak out.
And for this, I thank her. What bravery.

Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic.

Utterly predictable- especially 2 of the goal scorers. Utterly miserable - bc I hoped (and I'd bet a lot of you did too). #wwfc

The Media won't acknowledge this video of the farmers blocking an ambulance with its blue lights on so could you could RT it so people see it?

Must thank @avantiwestcoast.bsky.social for the prompt refund after Saturday's delayed journey from Wolverhampton to Euston. Could it be because they have so much practice? BTW the train shop closed very early. Not that I could get to it. The train was so crowded.

This can be stopped fairly easily. @petergeoghegan.bsky.social has a very good summary of what is required here. If Starmer implemented something like this, he would be making a historic improvement to British politics open.substack.com/pub/democrac...

Farmers work everyday of the year, including Christmas. They couldn’t possibly have a day off… they simply cannot afford it.

Oh but they can have a day off to fuck about on a tractor in London wanking off Jeremy Clarkson and Nigel Farage.
