So, Boris Johnson’s memoir has tanked. Who cares? Not Boris, who keeps his 2m advance whether it pays out or not. Not HarperCollins, who get the kudos of bagging Boris. No, the people paying for this are all the other HarperCollins authors who get to subsidize him through lower advances and budgets.

For #WorldPhotographyDay, here's a pic I've shared before (but I don't think on BlueSky). I shot it literally four feet out my front door. The sun was smoke-stained from a terrible CA wildfire. I exposed for the sun (to capture how it really looked), causing the mantis to become a silhouette. 🌿 🐙
