For what it's worth, these days the majority of the posts & replies I see have tons of profanity in them, and they don't get hidden. The only ones that do are the ones that seem to direct it at someone.

Growing up in that era makes one aware of file sizes (both for storage and d/l time). I don't think most younger people notice the difference between 20 MB and 2 GB.

I was in my early *40s* before this stopped being an issue for me.

Dipping your toes in the water is a time-tested method for getting used to both good and bad things. Definitely use it for good but yeah, it's important to keep the above in mind. It's a very (uniquely?) Human thing to be able to imagine Future You - use it.
