So the UCP knew that the sole sourced contract to a company with multiple previous government employees was sketchy and questionable…

And they went ahead with it anyway.

Danielle Smith will do whatever it takes to avoid accountability for the CorruptCare scandal.

Enough is enough.

The Premier needs to call an independent public inquiry so Albertans get the answers we deserve.

A few companies have made a great deal of money under the Alberta Recovery Model and there's little to show that they have actually delivered on the outcomes Albertans expect. Are people's health outcomes better off with a two-tier, American-style healthcare? The answer is almost always NO.

Nenshi - So are you messing with recall or what's the deal?

Smith - Yeah, we're making some changes on Thursday, but what I really want to talk about is how much the NDP hurt the coal companies.

For real. That was her pivot.

It’s no surprise that over a third of the UCP caucus has recall petitions filed against them. Scandal after scandal has left people exhausted with this government.

Danielle Smith, invoking the notwithstanding clause (twice, so far), is her way of putting the blame on the feds for us having human rights.

NDP MLA David Shepherd held very little back as the UCP effectively fired the Auditor General in committee today…

Including highlighting that for a government under suspicion of covering up massive scandals, this only makes things look worse.

Remember when Danielle Smith condemned the "arrogance" of a government for passing laws in a matter of days?

Now she's rammed through a law stripping teachers' charter rights in a single day.

Seems the "democratic process" no longer matters to her now that she's in power.

Where's the premier while MLAs rush through an all-night debate on stripping Albertans of their Charter rights?

An airport lounge, waiting for a flight to Saudi Arabia. She didn't even bother to show up for the vote.

I remember when conservatives turfed premiers for this level of hubris.

Seconds after proposing a "complexity cap" instead of addressing class sizes, Smith was asked what that means...

Her response?

"I don't know"

So we're back to doing complex policy via "Dani free associates words" again.

This is a must-watch message from Nenshi. He’s calm, introspective, and clearly knows how to focus on the right things. I hadn’t seen the clip of Smith’s angry diatribe before; it rattled me too. You can feel the reactive, self-centered ire in her voice, and she shows an obvious lack of leadership.
The more I think about the Premier's comments, the more shocked I am.

Public servants aren’t above criticism, and her behaviour was insensitive and unbelievably entitled.

Albertans deserve better.
The people of Jasper deserve better.

This is sworn as a draft copy of the letter AHS wanted to send to a charter surgical facility as part of their investigation into conflict of interests.

Allegedly, the govt refused to let it be sent.

The report shows this was a government-wide, systemic refusal to process FOIP requests. It's a damning indictment of the UCP's extreme culture of secrecy. And the UCP is further reducing FOIP access, which is yet another red flag re: growing authoritarianism.
