But what if you're not as badly affected but you're one of the many people who have moved on to another job, but you just don't seem to be able to recover your confidence? You're not quite ready to trust again? If this resonated with you, then you may need some extra support.

We know that in the more severe cases, workplace bullying an lead to complex PTSD. Please seek expert clinical intervention if you have found yourself in this position.

The emotional impact of workplace bullying often lasts for considerably longer than the experience itself and can continue to have a detrimental effect on health, emotional wellbeing, home life and work performance without support to move forward.

If you have ever been bullied, or have supported anyone who has been affected by workplace bullying, then you will already understand why a change is needed.

Last week saw the start of @stophurtatwork.bsky.social supporting @rachaelmaskell.bsky.social with a series of roundtables to hear views of business, layers, unions, and other interested parties to raise understanding of both the need for this work and identify potential challenges for all parties.

Clarity for both employees and employers through a legal definition was definitely one of the top requests. We'll be pulling all of the findings together as we continue with this work, and using it to support the publication of the Bill.
