They REALLY don’t understand that #LOTR and Tolkien wrote about being “woke” before ANYONE. It’s been there in society FOREVER. It’s called “empathy”, and it also goes far deeper than that.

One of my few critiques of the film, and it’s just me nitpicking, but Jon Chu needed to do a quick shot to Elphaba’s face cringing every time Galinda sings “Pop-U-LER”, which is what triggers Galinda to correct herself to “LAR”, because that’s HER version of meeting Elphaba halfway #Wicked
