Famously late adopter and probably only here for the cycling of all sorts.
I'm funnier AND weirder on Tumblr, but aren't we all?
Co-captain of the #tallboypeloton pep squad! Messy maker of mixtapes.
I dance and dj and write and disco 🪩
What the actual... Nej vent, jeg er egentlig overhovedet ikke overrasket. Bare træt 😵

The worst marks (outside the "lead with racism, it works" approach, which literally IS the worst) is how even the centre parties (incl the old working class Social Democrats) have adopted a super rigid "let's assume everyone will be cheating and that everyone is too lazy to work" approach to welfare

And while the proportional representation model of DK elections almost always means that our government is coalition borne and this at times prevents the worst ideological idiots from running rampage, that decades long rhetorical on our public sector as a whole plus "the experts" left dumb marks. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄

We do have our own Thatcherite fanboy wankers (who would probably still be considered at least centrist type Ds in the US, the dk overton window is obviously slightly different than yours). 😑
Including the long term past prime minister (Bush jr partner in wars) who ran on wanting a "minimal state".🙄

Yes, I may also fall into the "food safety regulations, zoning laws, consumer protection, building codes and traffic infrastructure management IS kinda boring" trap, until I'll spend time somewhere where too many politicians in power ALSO did that and handed certain systems to the private sector. 🫣😬

This made me realise something from an outsider perspective:
This dynamic is also present in DK politics (the right wing "the public sector/government employment is unsexy AF" discourse has been infectious 😵) but every time I visit places with a less strong public sector, I instantly miss having it.

We were honestly promised jetpacks... Instead we got this. 😑

Also: A few years ago they legit had an exceptionally functional product that did what it was supposed to do (more or less, at least the terms and general output was well within an acceptable error margin even if the grammar wasn't...) - and now? They do not have that.🤦🏻‍♀️

Inshitification intensifies.

These days I'm thinking "UEC podium ceremony" whenever I hear the intro to the song.

If I wanted inconvenience and button pushing mid race, I'd just Tiz the races or something instead.

And the point about paying for streaming services is convenience - that and freedom from ads normally. But this means i can't really get neither despite paying, not properly at least. And wtf is up with that.

If the ads were at least just placed better/if the Comms were aware of when they came... 🙄

I know, and if I use laptop (not phone) my ad block can eliminate the frequency of them I feel. But I like watching my races while knitting/crocheting or stretching etc, which means that every button click situation mid-race is annoying because it's not what my hands are there for while watching. 🤷🏻‍♀️
