A couple of inexpensive fixes that already exist:

1) Street sweep following resurfacing
3) Sediment bag in drains
2) Coir rolls / filter media around inlet structures

6. So many other amazing stories big and small, from the work that the Kawartha Land Trust does to the incredible art and story telling of @quillpearson.bsky.social's Creek Week or the decades long PFN Christmas Bird Count. there's no shortage of amazing environmental talent in our community.

5. This one's more personal, but an amazing group of friends got together and formed Odoonabii Watershed Stewards. We've already transformed two shorelines in our city, and are looking for our next project!

4. The youth of our community really showed up and we got a climate change emergency declared! It was an uphill battle but we got there. This has led to an abundance of great initiatives in our community including the upcoming Climate Change Action Plan 2.0.

3. We all got together and managed to get the Harper Park Wetland Designated as provincially significant. Despite meddling by several powerful individuals, Harper Park got amazing new protections!

2. We kept the twin pad arena out of a provincially significant wetland! With immense public pressure and first nations involvement, the city was forced to take the L and relocate this giant structure out of a wetland.

1. We ended the Jackson Park Bridge. Despite fierce opposition from city hall, our community came together and 360 noscoped ("killed" for the boomers) this idea.
