Saw JJ and the Blackhearts on my 21st birthday (1981) at a nightclub named Emerald City in south Jersey near Philly. A “birthday celebration” for a Philly rock radio station. She was second of three acts, Greg Kihn band headlining. I fell in love that night! GKB sucked in comparison.
