Gotta make it cost Disney. That's the only thing they understand.

I'm actually perfectly happy with this @nytimes.com coverage of the protests. It's the third biggest story right now and that's credible.

This seems like a credible layout to me.

"What is your opinion of Greta Thunberg?" works every time.

Inexplicable. Truly.

Yeah dude, that's not defacement. Just as putting an advertisement on your car isn't defacement.

Hey my local supervisor went one further and put up a picture of herself in the bike lane!

Noice!

Waymos are parking in the bike lane now. So that's a thing.

This one had dropped off its passengers... in the bike lane... and was just hanging out for several minutes. I took a few pictures, popped open the door and called their support service. Presumably, they made it drive off.

And this makes the off-hour forecasts worse. Doing their damndest to manage a controlled descent of service here, but make no mistake, everything is a bit worse.

Here's a small update on the chaos at NOAA.

This will weaken forecasts, full stop. It's destructive to take input data points out of the various models.

The NWS is going to do their damndest to keep things going... but at what point does something critical break?

Was this a planned discontinuation or is it a result of staffing cuts? I don't know, but it's the kind of thing I'd expect to see from staffing cuts.

I hate these people so goddamn much.
March 12, 2025 at 10:01 PM
This means a worse forecast.

Went to my third Tesla protest in three weeks. Crowds are getting a bit younger, message is gelling, response is getting strong from drivers. Curiously, professional drivers were very into it. UPS, FedEx, freight haulers, that sort of thing.

And these guys rocked.

Zoom meetings are starting to remind me of this bit from Real Genius.

The Tesla factory in Fremont, at Fremont Blvd & Industrial Dr looks like a good spot to start.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to think of this. Who's already organizing?
