This year’s green hop season has been brilliant. Two of the best are pouring at @thegreengoddesspub.bsky.social today. @kernelbrewery.bsky.social Wet Hop Bitter, all complex malts, sticky hop oils, then @elusivebrewing.com Green Hopper, crisp, fragrant, a lovely twist of bitterness on the finish.

Morning Caroline and all. Looks like a grey, drizzly day on the market but we’ve got a ton of beer arriving, including the first of the Xmas beers. Wrangling that will keep us busy. We may be closing after sunset now but the market twinkles in the dark

Pinch punch! Lovely weekend…am not a great fan of Sunday lunch roasts (ducks for cover) but had an exceptional one yesterday. Today there’s a bit of admin to sort and we will pop round to see Mum and step father. Have a good week all.

Good morning all. Had a wander around the Courtauld gallery yesterday and was surprised to spot bottles of Bass beer on the bar far left in Manet’s “A bar at the Folies-Bergère”. Seems so mundane in all that glamour… Have a corking weekend when you get to it.

Morning all. It was a solid day on the market yesterday which also gave enough time for me to sort the cellar out. The new Singaporean restaurant was good… I do love a laksa. I’d better go for a longer walk this morning to walk it off. Have a good Thursday.

The new Kiki and MiuMiu has opened and Lewisham is currently losing its’ shit with excitement…. I came away with rice cakes, mocci, crab flavoured Lays and frozen gyoza… might go back tomorrow…

Good Friday morning all! Had a lovely walk along the Thames yesterday before a brilliant lunch. (Crab and zucchini salad was a delight). Today is an admin day but I’m heading out to feed some hungry birds first. Have a corking weekend when you get to it.

Perfect early evening dinner at Manteca. Stellar produce, simply presented. The herb and fennel salad, tomatoes w bottarga and tuna crudo starred. Also they found me a portion of the brown crab cacio e pepe tonnaroli. Blissful.
