Started playing Halls of Torment last night, it’s cool as hell.
Vampire Survivors style gameplay loop but a bit slower paced, all with a Diablo 1-ish early CG pre-rendered look.
Almost beat the boss of the first area on my first run too!

I started playing Inscryption on the weekend.
Fear The Spotlight is fantastic.
A horror game that’s also somehow kinda comfy (??) with some genuinely creepy settings and puzzles all wrapped up in a slowly unfolding mystery story.
Highly recommended for a spooky month weekender.

I got my house Ethernet-cabled up. It’s something I’ve wanted to do basically my entire adult life but renting made it impossible.

Also! Tried out Castaway as a nice little palate cleanser after 85 hours of Dragon Quest.
It’s a great, tiny Zelda-in-a-bottle. The main game plays out over 20-30 minutes but it’s a great time. The roguelite Tower unlocked afterwards is compelling too.

Finished Dragon Quest XI S properly over the weekend. I normally rarely bother with postgame stuff, but here it’s really more of an Act 3 than postgame.
Plus, it turned out to be great fun playing around with party strategies to deal with the more challenging enemies in the late game.

Hit credits on Dragon Quest XI today. What a marvellous game.
So fun to just play an hour or so at a time, almost like playing through a series of Dragon Ball episodes.
Seems like there’s a hefty post-credits too though, so gonna see how I go with that too.
