"Perhaps what is most extraordinary about Berners-Lee’s career is that he never sought to own or profit from his invention".

While so many did look to profit from what he invented, TimBL instead continues to work tirelessly to build something that is for everyone.
Thank you to @observeruk.bsky.social for this thoughtful review.

“Berners-Lee is clear-eyed about the benefits and the dangers. This Is for Everyone contains some very sharp thinking about what we need to do now.”

- fox hunting
- Reform UK
- antagonism to asylum seekers.
In other words, the same few antisocial (psychopathic?) men, turning up in all the bad places.

If the police arrest me for this, it's a direct attack on the expression of opinion: ie on free speech. But the Terrorism Act is so madly oppressive and loosely framed that I have no idea which side of it I'm on. And I suspect it's the same for them.

Credit to Nick Robinson for refusing to be deflected in getting answers to his questions as David Mencer tries every which way to defend the indefensible and to blame everybody else but his government.
A clip from Nick Robinson interviewing David Mencer, the spokesperson for a genocidal apartheid regime.

Mencer is asked a question which he presumably doesn't want to or can't answer, so instead he demands that Nick Robinson condemns Hamas.
