I have literally no idea why or what is the context here, but it seems to be a mangling of the lyrics of TRB's Glad to be Gay

Children’s TV nowadays?
‘Sooty, Sweep & Robby’ is my 4 year old granddaughter’s favourite programme.
She loves Sooty’s magic tricks, Sweep’s stupid jokes and Robby’s really silly speeches.

Am I just old and about to go blind or are films and TV programmes being shot with the lights off? I am grateful that I am hard of hearing so sound levels are intolerable rather than pain inducing.

Netanyahu is threatening to sue the NY Times for posting this picture of a boy with cerebal palsy who Netanyahu is starving to death.

But don't spread it you wouldn't want to upset Netanyahu.

Would you?

It's funny how I tend to remember the NME being very hard on us at this period, but here's Each and Every One in their Top 50 singles and Eden at no 20 in the Best Albums, so memory plays tricks. We remember bad reviews more. So it's fun to see this.
Here's a playlist of the NME's top singles of 1984. Something for everybody among these 50 selections

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba... Bruno, if you look at the history, poor old Newton Heath have suffered relegations and perhaps the Munich disaster being worse than being 14th in the league. It might be disappointing for you and your manager (SITM?). Many clubs (like mine)have had it far worse.

What's astounding is that Badenoch would
- criticise a show she hasn't seen
- invoke a false, debunked race baiting claim from a far right influencer who hasn't seen it either
- take a shot at a show about the dangers of credulously believing online BS by herself credulously believing online BS
Kemi Badenoch's spokesman repeatedly refuses to tell me where the leader of the opposition got her claim from that the main character in Adolescence had been "race-swapped" from black to white, telling me that it's "astounding" that I should ask him about it
