Russians dropped a glide bomb on elderly people who were waiting in line for their pensions. More than 20 dead.

Please. Don’t look away and don’t be silent. This is all I could ask for

ANU announced a newly created position of Chief Risk Officer - worth $500k+/yr - in same email it talked up the $50M+ worth of staff cuts via redundancies, another $50M to come. Also same email staff lectured on being respectful talking about job losses, cuts. 🤯 Schadenfreude

The Environment Minister Murray Watt will approve the 50-year extension of one of the world’s biggest fossil fuel projects, Woodside's North West Shelf.

Along with releasing 4 billion tonnes of emissions, this decision will result in $215 billion worth of gas given away royalty-free. #auspol

SPOILER ALERT: In the sci-fi show Andor, it was a massive surprise intended to horrify and shock viewers when they learned that the show's supermax actually lets no one out alive—no matter their offense or sentence.

That's what CECOT—the Trump-Bukele joint—_already is_.

So... everybody get it now?

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
