It’s not uncommon, as you can see, for patients to be misdiagnosed and there to be a lack of awareness about the disease. Thank you for raising awareness!

One major difficulty with TGCT is that the symptoms are nonspecific, mimicking more prevalent diseases. Since TGCT only impacts a single joint, it’s unlikely the finger TGCT is related to lower body pain. Definitely continue to discuss with your care team & let me know if I can help at all!
